Master Tinkerer....

I call myself a "Master Tinkerer" because basically that's what I do... Tinker with a lot of stuff!!!

I came up with the name "Glenshee Workshop" In the spirit of my Scottish Heritage of Clan MacThomas (origin of the Thompson name) from the Glenshee area in the Highlands of Scotland. I've always wanted to use the many different skills I've learned over the years from the craftsmen in the Thompson & Whitehouse families, along with hanging out with dozens of Tradesmen over my two decades at the firehouse. After all... Firemen have been dubbed "The Swiss Army Knives" of the work world.

I wanted to learn the craft of Blacksmithing ever since I was young, becoming fascinated after visiting a working Blacksmith on an elementary school trip to the Farmington Plantation in Louisville, KY... So now I use my skills in learning this art along with my experience in carpentry to create custom works to share with others.
